The DATAKOM model DKG-171 is a low cost, microprocessor controlled unit designed to monitor the 3-phase mains voltages, send remote start command to the generating set and make changeover of both generator and mains contactors. The genset is supposed to be controlled by a Remote Start type control unit.

DKG171 | DKG-171 AUTO TRANSFER SWITCH.
- Generator Synchronization: Ensures that the generator is synchronized with the mains power supply before transferring the load, preventing system instability.
- Load Shedding: Can be configured to shed non-essential loads during peak demand or generator overload conditions to maintain system stability.
- Under-Voltage and Over-Current Protection: Provides protection for both the generator and the load from abnormal voltage or current conditions.
- Time Delay: Offers adjustable time delay settings for various applications, such as preventing rapid switching between sources or allowing for generator stabilization
- Residential Homes: Ensures uninterrupted power supply during power outages.
- Commercial Buildings: Protects critical systems like HVAC, security, and IT infrastructure.
- Industrial Facilities: Ensures continuous production and prevents downtime due to power failures.
- Data Centers: Provides redundancy and reliability for critical data storage and processing equipment.
Technical Specifications:
- Voltage Rating: Typically 230V AC (single-phase) or 400V AC (three-phase).
- Current Rating: Varies depending on the specific model, but can range from a few amperes to several hundred amperes.
- Switching Time: Typically milliseconds.
- Operating Temperature: -10°C to 60°C.
- Storage Temperature: -20°C to 70°C
